Equality Meets Opportunity
As a wife, a mother of three young sons, a nurse and a concerned parent. I have been raised to believe that communities are strengthened through education. As a lifelong Inland Empire resident, my husband and I decided to proudly call Rialto our home. This is a thriving city, where all children can reap the rewards of a quality education. As an immigrant of Guatemala City, I understand firsthand how important public education is in America.
I attended local schools and graduated from Henry J. Kaiser High School in Fontana. My post-secondary education was completed at Chaffey Community College, where I completed the Certified Nursing Assistant program, Emergency Medical Technician, an associate degree in science, and the License Vocational Nursing program. I graduated at the top of my class and served as class president for the nursing program. Throughout my 17-year career, I have met various people of all walks of life.
I currently serve as a community leader on the Rialto Vernon Braggs Toastmasters Club, I am a team mom/coach for my sons' baseball teams', and Event Coordinator for Alianza Latina parent group.
I am here to be a voice for parents who are inundated with monumental domestic and professional duties and may need an advocate for the younger generation. I also want to be a voice for teachers and ensure they have the resources they need to provide a quality education to all students.
In addition, with safety being a priority I want to ensure that we bring the most up to date technology and resources to keep our schools safe. Moreover, Education is a goal that begins at home and reflects in our community.
Vote for Evelyn Dominguez for school board district 5 to help continue Rialto be a thriving city.
